What makes uptime hard here
Density keeps rising, and both power and thermal margins are thin — a single failure in either can take down the whole hall. The gap that costs the most in a data center is between what a room is marketed as supporting and what it can actually carry once you account for cooling at the new density. A space sold as ready at 8kW a rack is a very different building at 20, and the constraint is almost never the UPS — it is the distribution to the rack and the thermal design around it. Lead times on the medium-voltage gear then decide the schedule, not the fit-out.
