Reliability Services

Testing, studies and engineering analysis that prove the protection scheme is right — and that the gear still behaves the way it was designed to.

Equipment that has never been tested is equipment with an assumption behind it. Reliability Services covers the work that turns those assumptions into evidence: arc flash and coordination studies that establish what the protection scheme should do, and the acceptance and maintenance testing that confirms the installed gear actually does it. Access delivers this work with High Voltage Maintenance, a Vertiv company, and with our own technicians.

What we deliver

  • Arc flash studies
  • Protective device coordination studies
  • Short-circuit and coordination analysis
  • NETA acceptance and maintenance testing
  • Infrared scanning and electrical maintenance
  • DC power and battery testing
  • Load bank testing and commissioning

The outcome

Reliable by design — and supported for its lifecycle.

Studies and testing are the cheapest part of a critical power system and the part that decides whether the rest of it works when it is asked to. They are also what an insurer, an AHJ and NFPA 70E all expect to see, so the work has a second life as documentation.
