APPLICATION ENGINEER – TECHNICAL SALES SUMMER INTERN

Access, Inc, is Northeast Wisconsin, Eastern Michigan and Northern Ohio’s premier manufacturer’s representative with industry leading products and services supporting the fast-growing Data Center/Information Technology industry and the commercial and industrial HVAC industry.  

We are currently searching for summer interns who are eager to learn about a career in technical sales. We participate in two markets, critical support and commercial/industrial HVAC.  Our Critical Support Group has a reputation of excellence in providing engineered data center infrastructure solutions to building owners, engineers and contractors.  Our HVAC group works with mechanical engineering firms and mechanical contractors to provide world class products and services to building owners.

The successful interns will be responsible for providing application engineering and sales support to our outside sales engineering team.  Our interns gain valuable knowledge in mechanical and electrical consulting engineering, mechanical and electrical contracting and most important, how a technical sales organization supports these design and implementation companies.

The ideal candidate will have the following attributes:   

  • >Working towards a BS in engineering with an emphasis in one of the following: architectural with a mechanical or electrical emphasis, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, biomedical, industrial, or computer.
  • >A highly motivated and performance-based attitude focused on problem solving
  • >A strong desire to learn about a career in technical sales
  • >A strong working knowledge of AutoCAD, MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, and Dynamics.

Compensation for our intern program is $16.00 per hour.  Our business hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Access Customer Support, Inc. is N.E. Wisconsin’s factory authorized Liebert HVAC service organization and the factory service arm of other HVAC manufacturers represented by its sister company Access, Inc.  We currently have an opening in our Neenah office for a HVAC Service Manager.

Reporting to the General Manager, the HVAC Service Manager will provide the service sales, planning and management of the service group.  The manager will work with mechanical contractors, engineers and end users to provide Startup services, warranty repairs, preventative maintenance and break fix on Liebert and other HVAC systems.

Responsibilities of the position include (but not limited to):

  • Generating new business by selling our service offerings
  • Evaluating workload and scheduling service work in a way that increases utilization rates
  • Managing the operational team to include dispatch
  • Effective and Efficient use/management of service software
  • Resolving customer issues and complaints to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Managing profit/loss for service group which includes PMs and service work
  • Ensuring that materials and equipment are ordered and dispatched for scheduled jobs. Schedules repairs for parts to ensure minimal down-time
  • Generating reports and measures of departmental operations as well as records on all inventory, tools and vehicles. Reviewing reports with management
  • Conducting job site audits, customer surveys and inspections.
  • Evaluating staff to determine training requirements. Providing on-the-job training and support to employees
  • Overseeing facility and equipment maintenance, ensuring that assets are protected and controlled
